Wayne Bacon Funeral

Wayne Bacon's funeral was held on Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at 10:30 am in the Grace Lutheran Church, Wichita, Kansas.

Classmates and their spouses attending were: Dick & Leota Albright, Don & Charlene Davis, Marion Futhey, Rich & Paula Pearson, James Walton, Juanita Wiseman, and Larry & Ann Young. The class also sent a Peace Lily.

Wayne Bacon Dies

Wayne Bacon died Thursday afternoon, March 17, 2016, at the age of 80. The funeral will be Tuesday, March 22, 10:30 am at Grace Lutheran Church, 3310 E Pawnee, Wichita, Kansas. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mildred F. Gibson, Wayne Bacon and Juanita Wiseman's sister died on Thursday, May 24, 2012. Her obituary is listed at Stockham Family Funeral Home.

Wayne Bacon In Hospital

Sharon Bacon sent us the following yesterday:

"Wayne is in Wesley Hospital. He went in on Tuesday morning with a high fever. They think he has pneumonia in one lung, also a bad urinary tract infection. He was doing better today. They started him on high powered IV antibiotics, but had to change to oral medication today, as he kept pulling out the IV's. He says he does not remember pulling them out. He has never done that before. We are waiting on the urologist to give us his opinion and or treatment. Hopefully Wayne will be going back to the nursing facility soon."

We are all pulling for Wayne to overcome this latest challenge. Thank you Sharon for keeping us informed.
