Jack Carr Memorial

Jack Carr’s Memorial Service on Saturday, March 14, was attended by classmates Dick Albright, Marion Futhey, Richard Pearson, Don Davis, and James Walton.

Marion gave the eulogy to a church full of people. Dinner was then served to all those present. A nice farewell to a man we will all miss.

Jack Carr passed away about 3 pm on Saturday, February 28, 2015, which was also his 78th birthday. His son, Scott Carr, has posted the news on Facebook and will follow up with arrangements.

Vern Timmons' Sister-In-Law Dies

Twila Brown Shandy, Joy Timmons' sister, passed away on New Years Day. The following obituary was in the Wichita Eagle.

Shandy, Twila F., 76, retired Accounting Analyst, died Jan. 1, 2015. Survivors: son, Tim Shandy (Linh) of Wichita; siblings, Joy Timmons (Vernon) of Rose Hill, Shirley Reyes (Joe) of Derby, David Brown (Karen) of Osage Beach MO, Jerry Brown (Linda) of Wichita; grandchildren, Collin and Vada Shandy. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Zelma Brown and son, Michael Shandy. Memorial graveside service: 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, El Paso Cemetery, Derby, KS. Memorial donations: National Kidney Foundation . Arrangements with Smith Mortuary, Derby.
