Wayne's Status

Thanks for Paula Pearson for this latest news:

Last week Wayne was supposed to go home, however, a trial run did not prove successful. He is still at Lakepoint while Sharon decides what to do next. Sharon said he is content there for the time being, but assumes it is short term, which may or may not be the case. Marion and Rich visited him recently, and found him in pretty good spirits. More details as we get them.

Juanita's News

From the lady herself: "We have been in Wichita (spent some time with Wayne) and Missouri. We got back home on the 12th. Catching up and resting up has been a struggle. This O' disease I have is cramping my style. But, I will not let it get me down. I'll be going back to surgery on the 28th of August. A hernia has developed above the incision from the surgery I had in January. It is big. I have to wear a belt. The doctors say it is the biggest one they have seen. Leave it up to me to have something silly and unusual to happen."

Wayne's Latest Status

From Juanita: "Wayne is improving, but slowly. The MS disease is his biggest enemy. He's in the Lake Point Nursing and Rehab Center located right off of 13th Street on West Street, Room 907. The address is 1315 North West Street, 67203. He does not have a telephone. We do not know when or if he will go home. Lou and Sharon are taking turns staying with him in the afternoons."

Mary Rogers Update

In Mary's own words: "Everything in my life has gone cock-eyed lately. I'm having radiation treatments for throat cancer and hoping for good results. Won't know for sure for quite some time. Ray is doing as well as possible with only having minimum care from me. I spent some time in and out of hospital and didn't have much contact with anyone. I am feeling pretty good today and haven't had many of those days. I go back to the hospital for more radiation this afternoon."

We all hope for some positive news soon, Mary.
